Pretty sure there are restrictions placed on what you can say as a comedian on this show. That might partly explain why all these routines feel very safe and not really funny. In fact, 95% of comedians on AGT just give off the vibe of trying too hard, which makes their act come across as cringey. I'm sure outside of AGT they might be a little more successful, where they can talk without any filters on.

@@josephjoe4180 You don't have to use foul or vulgar language to be an outstanding comedian, if that's what you're referring to when you talk about "safe routines". Being bold and edgy in comedy doesn't depend on how close you come to crossing the line of decorum, but on how creatively provocative you can design your act in order to wow your audiences.

I never realized how many pants jokes there are till now 😂 I like him, he's got a really uniquely clever sense of humor

This was actually a lot funnier than I expected it to be. The jokes flowed fast and well. He's brilliant. Also, loved Heidi's reaction "Mr. Pants, I don't know how to say it, but your fly is open and something is poking out."

Loved this standup. Mr. Pants didn't come short with the jokes at all. Kept it brief and tailored.

The joke with Pant alones made my day. For a Spanish guy as me, that's grateful to see that even in America our language is useful to make people laugh. 🤣

The shop I work at was full of people one day and my coworker came in with her new puppy. I asked her what his name was and she said it was “Maze” I told her that’s a corny name and only one person caught it and laughed and it wasn’t even the Mexican girl.

Every single joke hit the mark! A laugh every 3-4 seconds. Very funny

He's got a lot of comedic talent under his "belt"! At least he didn't make a com"pleat" fool of himself. It's not as easy as it "seams"! Can he maintain this level of apparel humor? Bet he "slacks" off! My two kids are watching as I comment. Enough is enough, Dad!!😂

Loved it! So many puns, but it's all clean, silly, and clever.

I found it so interesting how this one man and a simple topic created so much needed joy and great interaction. I am very grateful to him and all that participated. Great fun.

I agree---he was so well rehearsed and prepared and it felt spontaneous which is a mark of a great comic.

Well, he wasn’t slacking in the puns department and I am here for it!

That was some different comedy for once, loved it!! Hes in a category all on his own.🎉🎉

Howie could appreciate him. I remember when he started his career, he had cornball jokes and like this. Never underestimate talent and ambition.

At first I didn't like him but by the end of the routine, I totally understood the world he was creating and I wanted more. Let's see how far he can take this.

That was incredibly clever. One of the few truly great comedian acts over the years of this show

To many who aren't into comedy its hard to see people don't laugh when you're doing comedy than to see people don't get emotional when they're doing drama. Kudos to you Mr Pants for the real humor.

Guy was really down to earth and didn't act to big for his britches.

Mr.Pants more like Mr.Smartie Pants those jokes were top tier Dad jokes.

Someone who actually wears their trousers higher than Simon.

People love a character. This was unexpectedly enjoyable :) The banana joke was a foreshadow to his next act, I imagine.

When he asked Simon if he needed a Q Tip. I thought I wasn't going to like him . But he was soo funny 🤣🤣

He managed to 'Stirrup' some laughs with his 'Flare' and that's the 'Skinny.' Although I 'Pegged' him for a 'Sailor' he was a 'Straight' up 'Carpenter.' 'Overall' I liked the cut of his yokes.

It takes real bravery to get up in front of an audience and tell jokes. I have a friend who’s a musician and performs all the time… no fear. He also tells the best Rodney Dangerfield types of jokes. But he’s totally terrified of the very IDEA of getting up on a stage to do jokes. He says you couldn’t pay him enough to even attempt it. Kudos to Mr. Pants. He’s earned my respect for his chutzpah alone!! And he was hilarious! I wish him all the luck.
