I agree. I see they liked it. What can you expect as he's 9 years old (+ agt. Lots of guts right there), then an order person requires more expectations or 4 x's. We'll see if he makes it through to the finals.

@@hamfistsman6267 actually for a lot of magic the size of hand doesn't make too many moves hard to do. It mostly comes down to say hiding a card in your hand. Other than that it's really not too bad. I've taught about 10 people 4 being kids magic and that's the only problem they had was hiding cards

Simon has changed a lot over the years. Ever since he has a son. He now speaks from a fathers heart. This little boy was amazing.

Love how the judges gave him the most confidence-boosting comments and reactions all throughout even though lil shoji is still somewhat of a beginner. Imagine him a few years later

His slight of hand was pretty cute mane. Real classic mixed with his hero. From finger holds of the quarter to the illusion of giving the top card to Howie. Loved it all

His confidence tho… if I was there I wouldn’t even survive a second with those amount of people. He deserves the gold buzzer of how talented he is. Wish you luck!

Man, kudos to the judges. They've seen magic world champions on the show and though they know Shoji's magic doesn't stack up to them (yet) and that he'll never win this season, they were 100% supportive of him. That's so wholesome! This will be the moment that drives him to become a huge name in the industry

I think this kid is gonna be the next Shim Lim or Eric Chen. 😂🇮🇩

I started doing magic when I was 7, but I wasn’t doing this kind of sleight of hand at the age of 9. Magicians or hobbyists will respect what he did even more than lay people. That was difficult sleight of hand and he did a great job. Go Shoji!

But his shirt does have a pocket, which is where the coin 'disappears' in the 3rd coin trick. :) (Notice he never brings it back after that). He's really good though for 9 years old, a natural talent.

I think there were 2 Q.spades and handed one to Howie and brought one to the top (here should be the main sleight of hands wrt his weird hands 😅) I cant know tbh :) Anyway his confidence is phenomenal. I still can't talk in public in my 28th yr :))

Not bad at all. He's already got most of the moves down pretty smooth.

The real magic here is this little man. Great potential.

I absolutely fell involve with this boy!! He got such raw talent & just how adorable he is, is an added bonus! Hobestly too loved too how much it meant to him, his inspirations, and so on. This kids stage presentation & delivery was beautiful. Good on him for coming on to the show.

When he said these cards were made by shin lim, you might know him. I laughed out loud and idk why lmaooo. Kids got more confidence and stage presence then most grown ups i know. He even acknowledged he’s not nearly as good as others. Humble yet confident. Rooting for you shoji!

Oh boy, the confidence, at 31 I still can't stand in front of 10people without suffering anxiety,

I met this kid at my job before! That’s crazy! He showed me and my coworkers his card tricks. I should’ve got his autograph.

I know how he did these tricks and so do a lot of people but his slight of hand is what has to be appreciated, 2 years of practice and he, a fast learner, has learnt everything damn fast.

@@thehenrich6171 so basically he put the first card on top of the of the second card, and he showed everyone, and then when giving Howie, he removed the overlapping card and kept it with him, and gave the card he would pick in the end

Yes even if it is basic, for a kid to learn like that is already so impressive. Can you imagine how good he can be when he grows up?

Although the card trick was a 'simple' one, and a little bit rough around the edges - AGT may have just kicked off his magic career. He'll be back as a teen and will blow our socks off.

The kid is 9 performing in front of celebrities and a MASSIVE crowd. It's pretty easy to screw up a double lift when you're nervous. That smoothness is something you develop over time
