Most of the people in the comments have no idea how big Menudo was. Yes, this is a new formation but “Menudo” is one of the biggest boy bands in the history of music. They sold million upon millions of copies around the world. These boys just started recently and they have been evolving a lot. They deserve to be encouraged. They have so much pressure being in “Menudo”. They are very talented and they all can sing. I’m so happy they auditioned so more people can know about them. I hope they get their big break soon.

@@marilynnash4170language is not barrier when it comes to performing and singing for Nico. Music is an universal language and he can feel the song and perform it without having to know the lyrics. Just like millions of people listen and enjoy music from other languages without knowing the lyrics.

To those of you who think and say that all this was staged, two years ago my niece was a contestant in AGT and before she was introduced on the stage, she was asked to have AT LEAST THREE SONGS that she could sing and knew the words, in case something like thing happened, that is why when Simon stops anyone singing, he ask: "Do you have another song?" or "Did you bring another song?" She only sang one but didn't make it all the way. Look at the faces of those kids when Simon stopped the performance, they were shocked and seemed sad and it does not look staged. I wish them, all the best and hope that a good group comes out of this.

I grew up in the era of the original Menudo. The guys in this audition had some big shoes to fill, and they nailed it! They went straight to the 2nd song professionally with no back talk or anything. Congratulations Menudo!! 🙂

To be honest I agree with what Howie said because I didn't find them very appealing either why because 1 they have no stage presence 2 the stage looked very messy and empty even with five members they should be able to fill a stage and they didn't and 3 if they were trying to dance and or rap well sadly they did none of it the dance was sloppy and the rap was weak. Personally I think they have a very long way to go before they can be any where near to a global boy group

Honestly they kinda reminded me of CNCO (they were a Latin pop group that were popular by having billions of views on their music videos but weren’t popular enough for everyone to know them that Simon also helped form) a little bit I can’t wait for these guys to blossom as they get older ❤ I love their energy

This wasn't awful, not in the slightest, I can see how some people may not like it cuz of music taste, however its a different culture with a different personality, that is brought to the states, and was performed very well with professionalism, harmonies, and overall tonality and vibe in general. These boys can splash, even if you don't listen to this type of music, heck I don't listen to reggaetón, or Latin music in general, it doesnt matter. And good on simon for changing what was looking like a very bland kpop looking performance to something that fits well, and that was a hell of a lot better

Interesting, but they are not “ brought to the states “ they’re in Miami and were formed by their manager Mario Lopez. The original Menudo was from the US too - Puerto Rico.

I’ve seen videos of Menudo back in the 80s-90s era and their music is really good! And I’ve heard some of the songs from these new guys too and they sound really catchy as well! The youngest one Nicolas almost reminds me of Ricky Martin when he first started out!

I was a big fan of menudo when I was in grade school. That was in the early 80s. I am so surprised to see them on here. I know they change them out as they get too old, but I haven't seen them for a long time. It was such a treat to see them on here. I told my daughter it's menudo. She said I have no idea who that is. Maybe this generation will know them after this.

Recipe for Filipino Menudo: Ingredients: 500g pork shoulder, cubed 200g pork liver, cubed 2 potatoes, diced 1 carrot, diced 1 bell pepper, diced 1/2 cup green peas (optional) 1 cup tomato sauce 1 cup water 1 small can liver spread (optional) 1 onion, chopped 4 garlic cloves, minced 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp fish sauce 1 tbsp sugar Salt and pepper Cooking oil Instructions: Marinate Pork: Mix pork with soy sauce and pepper. Marinate for 30 minutes. Sauté: Heat oil, sauté garlic until golden, then add onions and cook until translucent. Cook Pork and Liver: Add pork, brown it, then add liver and cook until it changes color. Simmer: Add tomato sauce and water. Boil, then simmer for 20-25 minutes until pork is tender. Add Vegetables: Add potatoes, carrots, and bell pepper. Cook until tender (10-15 minutes). Stir in green peas, liver spread, fish sauce, and sugar. Simmer for 5 more minutes. Season and Serve: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot with rice. Enjoy your delicious Menudo!
