It's just people banter. The thing with magic is it's not a competition, they're just all trying to make it, and become wealthy with their craft. They dont care about being the best. Theres no point system like basketball. People just make it out to be a competition because they're so used to it. It's the same with NBA players career too. It's all about the money and making more for the community instead of letting the owners keep all of it. But people only see the "who's the best" bs.
