One of the best performances of all time. For him to overcome all that negativity from Simon, hold his composure, and still blast it out of the park is simply amazing, simply incredible to perform under such pressure.

In Simon's defense - just think of all of the times he's suggested that singers perform a different song, and he's usually right - they nail it. And, he will admit it when he's wrong. Folks may not like it, but he knows talent.

His students are extremely lucky to have him as a teacher. I bet he’s a fabulous instructor too. The performance hit my emotional side. Thank You

That's the best rendition of that song that I've ever heard. Normally it's sung by kids as it's a kids song from the musical but Jimmie really knocked it out of the park with that. Amazing!

I understand why Simon doesn't like the song; its overdone and most people butcher it. That being said Jimmy performed it beautifully.

This is one of the most beautiful moments!! When the chief judge told him that his choice of song was the worst and he had to just belt it out under such enormous pressure and he delivered it with such a powerful and commanding performance....out of the world...

Does anyone else get emotional when they push the golden buzzer, as if its someone you know personally? Every time the golden buzzer is pressed, my eyes fill with tears of joy for that person. Congratulations to them. I was singing this to my grandson a few minutes ago. He laughed because he thought I was making up a song for him. I said, “buddy thats a real song.” He said, “no way.” I came here and found this version. I’ll never listen to another version of this song after hearing this one. The sound that came out of his mouth was absolutely beautiful. I hope he go far with his musical talent. There’s no autotune here; just raw, natural talent. Not even a majority of famous singers possess that kind of talent today. His vocals are like some of the greats: Aretha, Patti, Whitney, Christina, Mariah, Freddie Mercury, Selena, Ariana, Jamie Foxx, T-Pains (real voice not autotune) etc. All have some of the best vocals in the industry that requires no help from synthisizers or autotune. Their all different vocals too. I think I’ve made my point. There’s a young lady on TikTok by the name of FromBritton, who has one of the most viral sounds on the app. It’s a cover of “unstoppable”. She has a pretty voice naturally but she NEEDS synthesizers and autotune to sound the way she does in that cover. The person in the video above doesn’t need any of that. Kids today don’t really appreciate raw talent vocalist like the older generations by all of the auto tuned, synthesized garbage they call music.

Julie Andrews once said her vocal coach taught her that being so well-rehearsed makes mistakes almost impossible. I assume of course that presumes having first learned good technique. Not everyone else actually. There are many, many singers who can hold a note that long. It just takes practiced breath control. I’m not putting down the great performance, I’m just saying it’s not all that unique to he able to sustain notes for 20, 25, or even 30 seconds in some cases.

He held that last note for almost 17 seconds! ⭐️✨👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

He had both female and male voices, and the ability to put the emphasis on what the song needed at the correct time.

I agree. I can tell that Ms. Vergara was moved by the song. The camera was on her at his delivery of the line "I just stick out my chain and grin and say"-- it perhaps has resonated with her.

Trust me, rewatch it with eyes closed (better still if you have a device with great audio) and you'll hear how clean his voice is, how expressive he is so you feel it, how he allows his voice to create a buildup, how he builds in power so that the same verse sounds different and conveys different emotions based on how he sings, you'll also hear and feel just how long and impressive that last note is, especially I believe switching from head to chest voice (or vice versa) in the middle of that last note. It blew my mind with my eyes open but closed felt like he cleansed my sins and healed my problems he was that good. Really made you think tomorrow was gonna be a better day. Extraordinary is an understatement for this just beautiful performance and exquisite artiste.

When his arms drop to his side at 2:19 singing sorrow...i felt that. He needs to be on BROADWAY ASAP!!!!

"You're a singer?" "I hope so" ...then he gets a golden buzzer and makes "Tomorrow" Simon's favourite! Wow! Incredible

I keep coming back to this, which I can't say for many performances. It's both his sweetness, his charisma, his interpretation and his voice. Just absolutely wonderful.

He has got to have one of the most powerful and incredible voices in the world. I truly hope other talent that is out there is discovered by whomever and or whatever it takes. Unbelievable!

This has to be one of my favourite auditions of all time. Not only because of Simon’s attitude! I love this bloke all around. He’s wonderful.

Totally scripted....sad to say!!! This guy already is a known singer (if not already under contract with one of the producers on AGT). There is no way in hell that he didn't have another song. He does have an amazing voice!!!

One of the standout performances of all time on AGT. Wow. Wow. Just WOW.

He is getting his talent of singing out there so people can hear him.Very talented.

I think the judges have an idea of the talent level before they perform. They do that kind of stuff to add some drama.

Disney needs to sign this man to sing on every soundtrack of every movie from here on out lol. He has a smooth innocence about his voice, which will be perfect for children movies 🔥

Should have won. Ridiculous one of the best voices ever on the show!

I saw him tonight with the Pink Martini band at the Moss Arts Center in Blacksburg, VA. I was amazed by his singing so I had to look for him in KZread. Tomorrow was one of the encore songs by Pink Martini. Jimmie did a full version at it was mesmerizing from beginning to end. Truly outstanding singer.

That is a lovely man and his first call was to his proud dad! You just can't believe that anyone can sing like that - he is fantastic!

He has an Incredible Voice. Broadway Worthy! When I feel Depressed or down I always go back and listen to him singing this song. It ALWAYS makes me smile! ❤
