The dad one killed me, I really felt it because I grew up without a dad and I had all these same feelings "WHY SHOULD I STILL WANT HIM AROUND" and "WHY ISNT HE HERE". At the age of 8 around Christmas i got a letter from my dad I dont remember what it said but that letter hurt so much because afterwards all I could ever think was "he doesn't care, he just thinks of me like a responsibility a chore".

@@theoutsiderspost4982 yeah the point of spoken poetry is to be emotional, to make yourself vulnerable. that's why it's so moving. It's not a sob story, that's just how you write the best and most meaningful poems. not surprising that people wanted someone with a new act to win instead of a kid singer

Yes I did shed a tear, but may I say you care so sincere. 2020 had been a battle for most people but this year has taught me so much... god is the reason anything is possible. And I adore poetry so much this just inspired me more... god was within you Brandon, your sister was by your side. God bless you, God bless your family. You deserved to win🙏🏻🙏🏻🌱✨✨✨✨

Everyone who says he didn’t deserve it annoys me. It’s easy to get better at singing. You just practice singing and you get there. But this is rare. He came here with a unique talent that never appeared on this show. These poems take creativity, emotion, and a lot of thought. Creativity is better than skill. Im tired of seeing singers win

Jesus Christ! I have always loved art and literature and beauty but these performances showed me that poetry does not have to come in figurative and big words. It just have to be able to move the heart, like, really do. God, these left me crying, like, ugly crying! His themes are universal that it brings everyone together yet so personal that it focused on the individual personal emotion. If I could only find the words to exactly express how it makes me feel. So captivating!
